About Tony Meale

Journalist, author, publisher and guest speaker Tony Meale has written for numerous outlets, including MLB.com, CBS, MaxPreps and the Community Press. He resigned from his newspaper job in 2011 at the age of 26 to write a book – his first – on what he considered the greatest sports story never told. Less than one year later, he published The Chosen Ones: The Team That Beat LeBron, a behind-the-scenes account of the only Ohio prep basketball team to ever beat LeBron James.

The founder of Press Box Publishing LLC, Meale has a master’s in journalism from Ohio University, where he wrote his thesis on racial stereotyping among men’s and women’s college basketball analysts. A Cincinnati native, he studied English and writing at Saint Louis University and has been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for outstanding work.

Meale is available for guest-speaking engagements and has presented to a variety of audiences at a variety of locations, from Cincinnati to Chicago to Dallas and beyond. He is best-suited for audiences catering to students, athletes, writers, journalists, authors, publishers and small businesses.
